Welcome to the HFES Europe Chapter Annual Meeting 2027
The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Europe Chapter (HFES EC) Annual Meeting 2027 will take place in Rome, Italy, from 28 – 30 April 2027.
The Annual Meeting brings together researchers, practitioners and professionals from across Europe and beyond to exchange current research, methods and applications in Human Factors and Ergonomics. The conference is open to anyone interested in the field and welcomes contributions from a broad range of Human Factors domains.

Call for Abstracts
We invite submissions addressing current research, applications and developments in Human Factors and Ergonomics.
Abstracts must not exceed 200 words. During submission, authors will be asked to select the most appropriate conference track and indicate their preferred contribution format.
All submitted abstracts will undergo scientific review. Following completion of the review process, authors will be notified of the decision and, if accepted, of the assigned contribution type and conference track.
Accepted contributions may be presented as an oral presentation or poster, depending on the review outcome and programme planning. Further information regarding full-paper or poster publication will be provided to authors following acceptance.
We are very pleased by the growing interest in the conference and the increasing number of abstract submissions. However, due to space constraints, the number of poster presentations at the current and future meetings may be limited.

Please ensure that the first name, family name and institutional affiliation of the presenting author and co-authors are entered correctly, as these details will be used for the conference programme and related conference documentation. Please note that we accept a maximum of one abstract per presenting author.
Abstracts may be edited until the Call for Abstracts closes on 15 December 2026 at 16:00 CET.
